OKAY. I HAVE FINALLY HAVE TIME TO BLOG ABOUT TQ!

this entry is dedicated to ALL my darling TQ friends. ((:

to sum it all up, i never regretted joining TALETNQUEST'08. though there were many problems along the way (of which only some of you know about), everything turned out GREAT in the end. made many WONDERFUL friends. i dare say that this year's talentquest committee is the closest committee EVER. honestly. i'm going to join back talentquest next year! as either programme or log comm. haha. who's with me? ((:

i still remember the first time i went for exco meeting. i was REALLY quiet during the meeting coz everyone else knew each other before that. of course, i wouldn't go crazy and talk so much during my first meeting right. i will just scare everyone off. =.=;; i left right after the meeting ended. obviously i wouldn't stay back and hang around with them. i dont even know them at all. haha. alice told me after i left, ben and tara were saying that i was very uh SHY and that they must interact more with me! hahaha. NOW, everyone claims i talk too much. WHAT IS THIS RUBBISH. i don't talk, they complain. i talk, they also complain. haii. it's so hard to please people these days. hahaha. oh yes, i used to think ziping HATED me. haha. coz she was so cold and dao that day. the only two i thought were friendly were chooisum and alice! coz they talked to me! lol.

next up was the AUDITIONS. i only went for the last one at partyworld coz i wanted to 'experience' the auditions at least once. and i wanted to help out in case they needed people or something. again, everyone knew each other then. all the programme people. the exco also knew them. SO MEL DIDN'T TALK AGAIN. haha. i just sat there and uhh counted scores. the FIRST person from the programme comm whom i talked to was huiping. coz we were counting scores together. then it was angie i think. i used to think angie HATED me too. coz she kept giving me the 'bu shuang' look. LOL.

then it was QUARTERFINALS. the first day was fun coz my whole pub comm went down. so at least i had people to talk to! haha. and my pub comm was kinda close to each other coz we had quite a few meetings together and all already. so we were just playing around. totally isolated from the other comms and the exco. HAHAHA. during the second day, i was the ONLY pub comm member there. but thank goodness van and eddi were there to entertain me the entire time. lol. what would i do without the both of them?

SEMIFINALS time. my pub comm went down again. thank goodness. hahaha. i had to climb up the horribly UNSTABLE ladder. and none of the USELESS guys helped me. honestly. NONE. ben wasn't around. xiaokai was busy with the sound system thing. terenze claimed that HE WAS AFRAID OF HEIGHTS. okay, fine the ONLY one who offered was weekeong. (patpat. good uncle.). but uhh coz he was ummm a teensy wee bit shorter (HAHA!) than me so if i can't reach, he won't be able to reach too, so i told him it was okay. hahaha. don't be offended uncle! =x i think that was the first day when i started to talk to programme people.

BAND FINALS! love that time. haha. it was super fun. the preparation before the even itself was really fun coz we were just busy taking pictures and stuff. i can't believe i took 70 over pictures. that's insane. talked more to the programme people. especially to angie and weekeong. then stupid terenze said that the 3 of us look like CLUBBING PEOPLE (dammit ziping and mich agreed). so the 3 of us protested and claimed that we are librarians. hahaha. librarians unite!

i think GRAND FINALS was the best amongst all coz everyone was kinda close and all already. so we all were just crapping around with each other. which was why it was REALLY UPSETTING when it kinda hit us that TQ is over. just when everyone's about to get even closer. when tara was saying her gratitude and all, ziping and i didn't want to listen or look at her coz we knew we would cry. )): I MISS TALENTQUEST'08 COMMITTEE A LOT.

oh yes. one more thing about TQ! the booth duties! hahaha. i remember looking at the list of people doing duty on that day and think to myself 'WHO THE HELL ARE ALL THESE PEOPLE'. hahaha. coz i have NEVER seen the programme or marketing people before (this was before quarterfinals and all). all i knew was that if one/two programme people had booth duty, the whole gang will go down. there was once when i had duty with esther, i think jiamin, terenze and weekeong were there at the table. so i went to sit at the other table with baka and let the 4 of them tend the booth. HAHAHA. there was this other time, when alice and i were the 1st two on shift. mine was two hours but hers was one. then weekeong came after that coz his duty started when alice left. he sat down at the other table. even after alice left. =.=;; so basically, both of us were sitting at two different tables. RIDICULOUS. stupid uncle. SUPER DAO CAN. haha.

tara - talentquest'08 director. the most indispensible person! haha. thanks babe for the first few months. when i had a certain disagreement with XXX. lol. if it weren't for you, i might have killed that person! now you can finally become a FULL-TIME student once again! we shall mug together soon okay? love you babe!

ben - talentquest'08 vice director. AUNTIE. useless guy who stalls the van ALONG THE HIGHWAY. hahaha. exco wouldn't be the same without you. coz without you, where are we going to get our entertainment from?! haha. and please, DO SOMETHING ABOUT YOUR HORRIBLE GOLDFISH MEMORY. tsktsk.

huiling - treasurer. LOANSHARK! hahaha. the one who always chases me for money and the one who has yet to return me money! i love you babe! thanks for going high with me in the clubroom when we were doing our TQ stuff. i think the whole clubroom thought we were mad. lol.

alice - secretary. DA DA JIE! you know i love you! you know i do. hahahaha. you and your randomness. thanks for being there for me at certain times. like yesterday. but NO THANKS for always trying to get a ride home! lol. i'm kidding. everyone loves alice! let's go mugging together someday!

chooisum - programme head. vietnamese classmate! hahaha. thanks for all your hardwork sweetheart! even though you have so many other committments, you still managed to come up with such a great programme for band finals and grand finals! i think you should SLEEP MORE now. you need to sleep. i always see you looking so CHUI in the clubroom. hugs!

ziping - logistic head. BFF. GIRLFRIEND! ahh. i have so many things to say to you! see, you're so special to me! haha. let's see. we only gotten close to each other since this year? it's funny how everyone thinks we knew each other before TQ. and we started to spend a lot of time together until tara couldn't stand us. all the LATE NIGHTS that we spent together (goodness, that sounds so wrong.) hahaha. mugging parters! thanks for everything! for being there for me. for cheering me on. for a lot of things. what would i do without you? honestly. i love you pingping!
